![]() ![]() You need to deactivate the SRAM by not pulling the CE/CS pin low during the read operation by changing the readByte_GB function in GB. You always should do this before saving, if possible. these in yellow you see its a bad checksum After fixing you see these like an original rom its in white and look the tekst its in white with Checksum OK look here: the are to bat files with it now 1 info checker 2. The cart reader tries to read data from both the flash and the SRAM at the same time resulting in errors. Description: This is an easy to use utility for performing some tasks on SNES / SFC ROMs Following functions are included: Edit ROM information like title, country/region, version and game code Add empty header Remove existing header Fix checksum: fixes a broken checksum. If this schematic is correct then the SRAM is connected directly to the cart edge without being controlled by the MBC5-D like you would suspect in a standard MBC5 cartridge. what's really odd is that the checksum and accompanying text is written in yellow in snes9x while all other patched roms (with or without command line) show up as white. it then showed up as good in both emulators but bad again via command line. Even carts with SFX and SA1 chips work great too.Īny advice you can offer would be super helpful and appreciated. I then tried a gui, the 'fixed' rom showed up as bad, so I repaired it. Looking at the files in a hex editor reveals that the first 1/8 of the file matches perfectly, but after a certain point there are big blocks of incorrect data and also blocks of just zeroes. The reader sees the cartridges and even computes the checksum "correctly" but the resulting file is always corrupt. Unfortunately, I seem to be unable to dump GBA games properly. I purchased the reader preassembled from a seller on Etsy and he guaranteed all the functions would work, which (as far as I was able to test) they did. I just recently acquired a collection of GB/GBA games and have never used the GB functionality of my reader before. It makes ordering games from eBay so much more fun. and tried to run it in my emulator (snes9x) but it said the rom had a bad checksum 493. Hey Sanni!
